Copper Brown Trout – "Hopper Fever"
N ick designs these copper fish to resemble a 12-pound brown trout, the kind we all dream of catching. Hopper season is often short and sometimes does not arrive at all, but when it does, fishing becomes a little more special.
Each fish is crafted entirely by hand starting with a flat sheet of 24 ounce copper. The copper is cut, torched, hand pounded, molded together and tig welded. The fins are then created and placed in just the right places. The fish are hand painted using various patinas to add color and individuality.
Like the trout, the hopper is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation that adds character and completes the fisherman's dream. This is one fever you won't mind catching.
